My artistic journey began in childhood, dealing with complicated emotions. Today, I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University's art school - VCUarts - with highly developed artistic skills and a strong capacity of observational and technical abilities.

Virginia Commonwealth University

August 2020 - December 2023

I was accepted into one of the top art schools in the country, VCUarts, and later was recognized so greatly, I was accepted for Communication Arts, a highly competitive major to get into. Communication Arts is the major for digital art and graphic design. It includes classes in observational drawing, visual communication, digital image making, concept design, comics, storyboarding, typography and mixed media illustration. I am well versed with multiple digital drawing software including but not limited to Clip Studio Paint, Paint Tool SAI, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I am also experienced with the 3D Modeling/Rendering Software used for movies and games, Maya.

Study Abroad: Florence Revealed

June 2022 - July 2022

This was a condensed one-month study abroad equating to 2 courses – 4 semester credit hours – led by a VCU arts professor. The tour included 20 students through competitive selection that were given daily routines of Florence’s indoor and outdoor attractions to creatively fill a large sketchbook. With personal time granted, my weekend, self-initiated excursions included Bologna, Venice, Livorno and Rome.

University of Mary Washington

August 2018 - June 2020

At this university, I was part of the honors program and active in a variety of general studies. I completed courses in Literature, Creative Writing, Sculpture, Ceramics and Design Principles. I developed strong research, analytical, and presentation skills in my writing/reading intensive courses that included Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.
